Call for participants for 5-day training in NGS for TB, hosted by TB-CAPT, PanACEA and SeqTreat

The TB-CAPT, PanACEA and SeqTreat consortia are pleased to announce a second iteration of the popular online training series “Mycobacterium tuberculosis NGS made easy: data analysis step-by-step”, organized from January 9-13, 2023.

Detailed information about the training program can be found in the event flyer.

EVENT DETAILS: Mycobacterium tuberculosis NGS made easy: data analysis step-by-step

Goal: Build capacity in data analysis and interpretation of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) applied to tuberculosis (TB).

About: Online training series with hands-on tutorials that will teach participants how to:

  • differentiate sequencing technologies and which ones are most applied in TB.

  • implement NGS into TB laboratories.

  • do whole-genome sequence analysis.

  • detect drug resistance-conferring mutations, build phylogenetic trees and infer direct transmission.

  • use different web tools dedicated to targeted analysis and what it takes to do bioinformatics.

Date: 9th-13th of January 2023

Costs: Free of charge

Location: Online under https://gallantries.github.io/video-library/events/mtb-ngs/program.html

Please note that registration closes on the 27th of November 2022. The number of participants is limited to 40. Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
